Boat Sales Up. Sales of RVs bicycles and camping equipment are exploding. The disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 meant that while retail boat sales were the highest since 2008 manufacturers struggled to meet demand.
Boat sales are up 20 over last year. Strongs Marine boat sales increased by 42 percent while monthly leases up 60 percent since last year. Chuck Cashman the chief revenue officer of the boat dealership MarineMax which has 64 locations in 23 states says sales are up.
But drawing new boaters and keeping them in boating are two different things.
Sales of boats marine products and services across the country leaped to a 13-year high in 2020 to 47 billion increasing 9 from the prior year according to the National Marine Manufacturers.
